About Us

Culpeper House Closed June 2008. For information about other communities in the DC area visit http://www.dc.newmonastics.org Welcome to the virtual home of Culpeper House. We are an Intentional Christian Community (we're somewhat new monastic, but not completely, i.e. We don't really live in a "forgotten place of empire") located outside of Washington, DC in Arlington, Virginia (south of Bailey's Crossroads). Some folks have been asking why we are called Culpeper house. Well, it's simply because that is the street the house is on. I wish it was more clever than that.
