We’ll provide meat and mashed potatoes and gravy.  Please pick an item to bring from the list.

Please invite friends!

Take a moment to check out the preview of the Christmas magic that might ensue.

Vote for Our Sister Community’s Neighborhood

Our sister community in Southeast Washington’s Anacostia Neighborhood has asked everyone to go to http://www.hgtv.com/hgtv/ah_change_the_world/text/0,,HGTV_30676_65470,00.html and vote for HGTV to help cleanup their neighborhood.

No Dinner This Week

Because many of us will be out of town, there will be no dinner Wednesday night.  Have a wonderful Thanksgiving!

No Dinner Halloween

Because of Halloween, we’re cancelling dinner tomorrow. Please pass the word.  Hope to see everyone next week!

Herndon Day Labor closed. Now What?

Well, what are we gonna do now that the city of Herndon has failed the least of these?

Well, the answer came to me in the form of a Razoo blog post.

So, now Arlington is stepping it up in support of immigrants…. what if the started to look for ways to support this Arlington County Resolution? What if we backed (or even manned?) a day labor site in Arlington County? Is this too crazy an idea?

From the Washingtonpost.com What if we befriended some of these day laborers that are so rejected by this capital of a country made up of all “huddled masses yearning to breath free?”

I’m thinking of talking to one of our sister communities (its an outreach to Hispanic folks down the street) the possible need: Casa Chirilagua

Anybody interested in this as a possible relief as the weather and the work start to freeze out the common folks, the forgotten folks… even the condemned folks…
??? Anyone?
